Will Bost
My name is Will Bost and I am from Raleigh, North Carolina. In June of 2010, I graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School in Raleigh where I earned an additional diploma for course work in the International Baccalaureate subject areas. I also played on the Varsity Golf team, was involved in Student Government and many other student run organizations. Currently I am a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I am interested in studying the different Math and Science fields. However, at the moment, my major is undecided.
Shelley Gist
I’m a freshman at UNC-Chapel Hill from Raleigh, North Carolina. As an undecided major, I’m currently studying a little bit of everything, waiting to figure out what most tickles my fancy. While the search for my passion will hopefully be short-lived, I plan to continue exploring all subject matter long after my classes have all begun to share a focus. Learning should always stretch beyond one’s scholastic concentration. That’s why my hair’s so big... it’s full of knowledge.
Zeeshan Haque
As someone who is originally from Chapel Hill, and lived here for 12 years, I am pretty familiar with this area that some people call “the southern part of heaven.”
Right now I’m student at UNC, thinking about majoring in health policy management. It’s an area that I’m interested.
On a side note, I have noticed that everyone outside, and not originally from, Chapel Hill calls UNC, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Whereas, people who are from Chapel Hill just call UNC, UNC - look at how my fellow bloggers introduced what college they attend, and then notice where they are all from - and then compare how I introduced what college I attend. It’s something I find to be a little silly and interesting at the same time.
Anyways, here’s a little more background information...like I said I was born in Chapel Hill. I later moved to Morrisville, NC (located near the RDU airport), and this is the area of my current residence. I like to play sports with friends, watch sporting events either in person or on television, try to read something intellectual/thought provoking everyday, and just hangout. As a person, I’m pretty relaxed and try to not become too worried or nervous over things. I try to stay level headed all the time. Speaking of which, that is how I plan on writing my individual blog posts - not only within the tone set forth by the overall blog itself, but also in line with my personality and attitude.
So that’s all the reader really needs to know about me as a person. Stay calm and take life as it comes to you. Until next time, happy reading!
Alec Moore
My name is Alec Moore and I am a freshman (freshie, fresh meat, scrub for short) at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Well, I suppose I should preach a little bit of my background, maybe then you’ll take me a little more seriously (or maybe a little less). My upbringing was no different than the average suburban white kid. I was born in San Diego, CA but grew up in Charlotte, NC. I played little league baseball, always did well in grade school, and even found time to go to the pool every now and again. As far as high school goes, I was not the best, but I mean really, who wants to hear from the best all of the time? I certainly did not do poorly, I was in the top ten percent of my class and graduated with honors, I’d say that is pretty good. Hopefully, just hopefully, you’ll find my posts worth your time, and if not, that’s okay, you probably shouldn’t be reading them anyway. Okay, so that was a little uncalled for, but you’ll find that I like to joke and kid, a lot.
Erin Wallace
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1991, and brought up in North Carolina since 1994. I never stayed in one place for too long and have already gone to 8 different schools. In June of 2010 I graduated from Pinecrest High School of Southern Pines, NC. Currently, I am living in Chapel Hill where I am freshman at UNC Chapel Hill. Although I am undecided about a major, I am leaning towards a double major in Anthropology and History. However, my interests vary from Environmental Studies to all forms of socials sciences. After graduating from UNC, I will hopefully work for my Master’s Degree also from UNC Chapel Hill.
